April 23, 1997. Our wedding day.
And so as they say, today is our Happy Wedding Anniversary day. And as they also say, today is probably the most important day for a couple (even considering the claims of a certain V-day)..
But then, if you ask us, what really is our most important day?
Was it the day we were married?
or was it the day we were engaged to be married?
or was it the day we first sat in a church together?
or was it the day we first had a meal together?
or was it the day we first went out for a movie together?
or was it the day we first travelled on a bike together?
or was it the day we first travelled in an auto together?
or was it the day we first travelled in a bus together?
or was it the day we first travelled in a train together?
or was it the day we first held hands?
or was it the day we first talked to each other?
or was it the day we first entered each other's hearts?
or was it the day we first sat together on a classroom bench?
or was it the day we first saw each other?
I don't know.
All I know is that we will struggle to pick any one particular day from these and from among the many more days not mentioned here. Each day as important, if not more, than the other.
So which day gives us most happiness?
Again, I don't know. Each day is so vividly fresh in our memories - the joy we felt, the place and surroundings, the time of day, the things we talked about, even what we were wearing on most of these days!
But this I can surely say - I feel most happy when I sleepily reach out and hug her each day in the morning. Something that I do on most days without even realising it! The indescribable blessing of knowing that she is indeed beside me..
That's what makes each day our Happy Day..
